In Townsville, and James Cook University is inviting expressions of interest for the provision of principal contractor services for the construction of Central Plaza, which forms Stage 1 of the Ideas Market proposal.

Here’s how it’s described on the JCU website.

“Central Plaza will form the new academic and social heart at the centre of the campus. Major new buildings with important social, student and community functions will surround, interact and activate this important civic space, which straddles Wadda-Mooli creek and connects the southern half of the campus to the northern half along the Magnetic Island axis.
