Magic millions for CQ coal mine
The number ticked over last week when the MV Marijeannie sailed on Wednesday night from the RG Tanna Coal Terminal in Gladstone.
Jellinbah Group chief executive officer Greg Chalmers said they were proud to reach the milestone alongside Gladstone Ports Corporations.
“This is a fantastic achievement for Jellinbah East Mine which has been 31 years in the making,” Mr Chalmers said. “We wish to thank GPC for their valued, long standing contribution to this significant milestone.”
The Port of Gladstone posted a throughput of 124.02Mt in the last financial year, surpassing Hay Point as Queensland largest port.
Record levels of coal, LNG exports and a doubling of container trade were behind the bumper result.
