Greenpower Energy has defined exploration targets at Camel Creek and Golden Cup mines as it undertakes due diligence on the possible acquisition of a raft of gold projects in North Queensland.

The company has entered an option agreement with Q-Generate to acquire the former producing gold mines of Camel Creek, Golden Cup and Big Rush.

They are part of the Golden Ant project and produced more than 150,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 1.91 g/tonne when they ran as heap leach operations in the 1990s.

Greenpower Energy runs the ruler over NQ gold projects

In a report to the ASX this week, Greenpower said it had been assessing information from the Camel Creek mine, on seven granted leases about 140km north-west of Townsville, as part of the due diligence process.

Its next step will be to evaluate the exploration data available for Big Rush.
