Eleventh hour reprieve for Rex Airlines
Rex said tonight it would resume full services on Wednesday, April 1 and move to a reduced schedule from April 2 on all five State Government-regulated routes.
“A final agreement has not yet been reached with TMR on the reduced schedule, however Rex will run the reduced schedule in good faith until 8 April 2020, after which the total suspension of all Rex’s services in Queensland may still proceed,” the company said.
It comes after the company announced to the stock exchange Monday morning (31 Mar) that it was forced to declare force majeure on its government contract and suspend all services on Queensland regulated routes indefinitely.
