Agate Creek mining to start next week
The mine is located about 40km south of Forsayth and 60km west of Kidston in North Queensland.
The ore will be transported to Maroon Gold's Blackjack processing plant at Charters Towers.
Maroon Gold has been appointed operator of the site and a mining camp (pictured below) is fully established and ready for the first roster of mining personnel to arrive during the next week.
Laneway Resources said a number of the initial mining crew undertook site inductions yesterday.
A bulldozer and a grader have commenced pre-stripping of the open-cut and waste dump areas (picture below).
In an announcement to the ASX, Laneway said it anticipated material positive cash flow this year from the mining activities at the Agate Creek high grade project, aided by recent high prices for AUD denominated gold.
It plans additional exploration appraisal of the broader Agate Creek project area.
